The Full Stack Software Engineer Intern will report directly to the Technical Lead. In this pivotal role, you will be handling a wide range of web and mobile app development, and contributing to the efficient operation of your unit, and the company at large. The ideal candidate is an eager-to-learn developer who provides support and troubleshooting of legacy technology solutions as well as scripting, test automation, and test tools.
This role is a hybrid role and the ideal candidate will also be required to work across different time zones.
Experienced individuals with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Build and Assist in the development of mobile apps built in React-Native
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Develop and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code using React, Next.js, Node.js, MongoDB, and GraphQL.
- Implement front-end and back-end solutions while ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
- Working knowledge of telecommunications products will help.
- Translate the company vision to take the form of a mobile application, through clean coding.
- Collaborate with other mobile app engineers within the team to deliver the best solutions.
- Perform periodic testing and improve the usability of the mobile app.
- Implement entire stories or a subset of tasks or fix defects as part of an agile development team.
- Document and escalate defects per standard processes.
- Edit, modify, and debug software products in accordance with software architecture specifications and internal procedures.
- Work on creating JSX components as a part of UI module development of SPA website.
- Assist in the development of web applications for office inventory management, using ReactJS and GraphQL.
- Implement the web interface by retrieving the data in JSON format from the GraphQL API.
- Code review and test for teammates, ensuring JavaScript code is testable and CSS is accessible
Qualifications
- Able to code in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Typescript, SQL, GraphQL
- BSc/ HND Computer Information System, Information Technology, or equivalent
- Ability and flexibility to quickly learn new technologies.
- Proven working experience in technology-related projects besides professional IT staff.
- ReactJS (Typescript) and React-native.
Skills
- HND/bachelor’s or equivalent
- Relevant Degree would be added advantage.
- Experience in Application Development
- Good knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
